Is anyone looking for a housemate? Or knows of anyone looking? I've been living in my sister's apartment for far too long now and she left the property section of the newspaper section on my bed yesterday, which I think was her unsubtle version of a hint. It's not like I'm living here rent-free, Jesus. She's so catty sometimes.
I promise I'm very clean and tidy, don't bring home strangers and never have parties. My only requirement is a reasonable-sized back yard and that you wouldn't mind living with two police-trained (and therefore impeccably behaved!) dogs. They're outdoor dogs so you wouldn't need to worry about shedding, and they come to work with me so are only in the house when I'm there to keep an eye on them. One of them is also an excellent guard dog, there's no need for burglar alarms with her around.
In other news, I've just finished a 17 hour shift. I think I've found a new realm of exhaustion that didn't previously exist.

As a police dog handler, articles like this make me really sick. I'm disgusted that this happened, but to think the handler hasn't even been suspended is just absolutely horrible. Any police dog handler knows not to leave dogs in unattended cars full stop, let alone when it's 28C outside, and for both of them to die it must've been absolutely horrific inside that car. Those animal's last moments would've been so panicked and agonising. Police dogs deserve a life of bliss and to die old and happy after the hard work and protection they give us as officers.
I hope the RSPCA lands the officer with a huge fine, and makes it so he cannot handle dogs ever again.

I think everyone else has Michael Jackson covered, so I'll just say that I was obviously very upset and, like many people here, he defined my childhood.
There is a music festival in England that I used to go to every year called Glastonbury, but I'm having to settle with watching it on the internet this time around. It really is an amazing festival. There are lots of popular bands and lots of not-so-popular bands that play, so you get to see a real variety of music packed into the space of a few days. You all camp in a massive field and the atmosphere is brilliant. This is actually the first time I haven't been to Glastonbury in six years, so I'm getting nostalgic.
I'm Jules, by the way, and I moved to Revere about nine months ago. From England, obviously. Although I did live in Revere between the ages of 14-18, which is why I may or may not be a familiar face to some of you. I've been a police officer since I was 18, and no, I cannot get you out of your speeding/parking fine, so please don't ask.
I think that's all I needed to say. Is anyone going to the busking festival today?
